2026 in BLOOM

The splendor of fall leaf color and the golden light that filters through commands our attention. We last saw hummingbirds near the end of September. As the gardening season winds down, we will celebrate our gardening year at the Annual Meeting on October 14, costumes encouraged but optional.

Please don’t be too quick to cut everything down for the winter - flowerheads with seed feed the birds, and plants with hollow stems provide habitat for native bees. And don’t forget to leave leaves under trees for a soft landing for overwintering insects.

Relax, take in the sights, sounds and scents of nature, and as always, happy gardening!
